Matthew is an experienced physiotherapist with extensive post-graduate training and skills whose goal is to provide his patients the best result-oriented care through a thorough understanding of your personal history, needs, and goals.

Matthew received his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy (MScPT) from McMaster University and has gone on to complete multiple courses and certifications with advanced training including: Neurokinetic Therapy (Level 3 certified), Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex Therapy, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, spinal manipulation/manual therapy (Certified Manual Therapist), vestibular therapy, and concussion management. He serves as a Neurokinetic Therapy teaching assistant and as a mentor for physiotherapists and other health practitioners.

Over the years Matthew has become known for treating difficult musculoskeletal cases and balance/dizziness disorders where previous treatments have been unsuccessful. With his education Matthew conducts detailed assessments of movement, and muscle strength to determine key compensatory patterns (muscle and reflexive sensitivities) that often cause pain, and dysfunction. She graduated ‍Summa ‍Cum ‍Laude, with Clinic Honours from ‍the ‍Canadian ‍Memorial ‍Chiropractic ‍College ‍(CMCC) in 1996. Dr Kottoor is the owner and clinic director of Leaside Sports Medicine. He is a Chiropractor, Rehabilitation Specialist, Medical Acupuncture Provider, Certified Active Release Techniques® Provider, and Certified Personal Trainer. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Kinesiology and graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2002 with his Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Kottoor then completed a 3 year post-doctoral fellowship in Rehabilitation Sciences to help him become a leader in the field of sports and injury rehabilitation.

He has worked extensively with people of all ages and all walks of life. Being a former international volleyball player, Dr. Kottoor has a special interest in exercise and sports injuries. He has treated numerous professional and Olympic athletes and has worked with the Toronto Raptors Medical Team for several years at their pre-season camps doing injury and fitness assessments. Rachel completed her kinesiology degree at Western University and then went on to complete her Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland in Australia. During her time abroad, she was trained using various treatment techniques, such as joint mobilization, soft tissue release, and exercise prescription as tools for rehabilitation and recovery. Since graduating she has taken additional courses on acupuncture, dry needling, and concussion management.

Radu is a Physiotherapist who has played competitive tennis and basketball, which as a lifelong athlete has exposed him to the world of physical rehabilitation as a patient where he initially noticed the benefits of active rehabilitation and physiotherapy from an early age.

His passion for health and fitness led him to complete his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario after receiving a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, Radu was a Teacher’s Assistant for the School of Anatomy lab at Waterloo University where he helped teach anatomy.

Stephen grew up in Toronto, Ontario and spent most of his childhood playing tennis, volleyball, and basketball. As a young competitive athlete, Stephen experienced his own struggles with injury and rehabilitation. This personal experience in combination with his passion for helping others led him to pursue a career in physiotherapy.

Stephen completed his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in London, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Western University. While studying at Western, Stephen gained experience as a student athletic trainer working with former NBA and Division 1 NCAA basketball players on the London Lightning Basketball Club. During his time in the UK, Stephen further developed his clinical skills working in London’s top teaching hospitals specializing in trauma and orthopaedics. He enjoys treating a wide range of clients – whether it be a post-operative patient, a weekend warrior or an elite athlete.

Stephen believes in a holistic treatment approach and uses manual therapy, acupuncture, and exercise prescription to help his clients reach their personal goals. Following a double major undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Medical Sciences at Western University, Jonathan completed his Master of Physiotherapy (M Phty.) at the University of Sydney in Australia. He was an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, having been a member in good standing involved in various areas of physiotherapy.

Working alongside former Chairman of Sports Physiotherapy Australia, Andrew Han, Jonathan was involved as a team physiotherapist for Baseball New South Wales and the Australian Baseball League (an MLB affiliate). Having had experience working at a large medical facility in Western Sydney, Jonathan has a keen interest in all sorts of musculoskeletal conditions and loves a collaborative approach to care.

Currently, Jonathan is eager to work with his patients to maximize their lives whether they have injuries or seek preventative work and uses his toolkit of deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, and exercise to get them there.
